Aims

To ensure the learner understands the importance of PPE for the EDU wash and clean areas, how PPE can help prevent and control HCAI. How to correctly put on the required PPE and remove PPE to avoid any cross contamination. 

 Objectives

  • About the importance of wash area and clean area PPE.
  • About the different elements of PPE required to work in the endoscopy decontamination unit (EDU).
  • How to put on the required PPE in the correct order.
