Fundamentals of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
Aims
The aim of this course is to raise awareness of COSHH, identify measures that can be adopted in a workplace to reduce risk, and understand and comply with organisational and statutory obligations.
Objectives
Learners will be able to:
- Understand the key elements of the COSHH regulations.
- Understand what is meant by the term hazardous substances and their potential effects.
- Understand the principles of a COSHH assessment.
- Identify key COSHH labels/symbols and where to find further information about hazardous substances.
