Aims

This course takes learners through the different types of sterile barriers available and provides an understanding of the different requirements of sterile barriers as well as appropriate storage and handling of raw materials.

Objectives

On completion of this course learners will be able to:

• Understand the purpose of sterile barriers.
• Understand the different considerations of sterile barriers.
• Understand the different materials used for disposable wraps.
• Understand options for other sterile barriers.
• Explain the required checked for sterilization containers.
• Explain raw material storage and how to pass through to the IAP/Clean Area.
