Aims

The aim of this course to make staff aware of the required checks to ensure the sterilizer has met all required parameters before releasing the load and how to manage the load once removed from the sterilizer. 

Objectives

During this course you will learn:

• About the required checks that need to be completed before a load is released.
• About the requirements to log the cycle details in the track and trace system.
• About the Health and Safety aspects of removing a load from a sterilizer.
• About the requirement for a load to naturally cool.
• To correctly explain the required process indicator changes.
• To explain the requirements of a failed load or failed item after sterilization.
